Preparing for this year OSSLT. Here are some valuable information regarding this test.
Getting Ready Guide - This guide provides students with details about test content, instructions for doing the test and tips for doing well.
Planning and Preparation Guide - This guide describes the reading and writing skills assessed and the kinds of questions; provides sample test materials and tips for preparing students prior to the test
The sample test (links are shown below) is a complete test in the same order and with the same instructions as an actual test. The use of the sample test provides parents, students and educators with a test similar in length and format to the one provided during the actual administration and illustrates the types of reading and writing items (questions and prompts) that students will encounter. These items have not been used on actual tests, so student work at each score code is not available.

Administrative Guide - This guide has been developed to provide direction and information to principals and teachers administering the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) in March 2012.
Guide for Accomodations - This guide provides information and directions to assist principals and teachers in making decisions about accommodations for students with special education needs, special provisions for English language learners, deferrals and exemptions for students writing the OSSLT.
From Monday, February 27th to Friday, March 2nd, Francis Libermann C.H.S. will host a Stop the Stigma Week for the third year running. The goal of this week is to enlighten and inform the community on issues which surround mental health. Included in these discussions will be such topics as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Depression, Anxiety and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Prior to, and during this week, members of the Stop the Stigma Committee will visit classrooms to educate their fellow peers on some facts and dispel myths which are sometimes associated with mental health.
Two assemblies will be held on in the morning of March 1st, where a guest speaker will discuss his personal struggles with mental health. A “dress in support” of Stop the Stigma Week, where all students will wear the color purple on Thursday, March 1st in support of this valuable cause. Stop the Stigma Week is an opportunity for staff and students to ask questions, seek answers and know that it is okay to ask for help when and if it is needed!
