The Catholic School forms part of the saving
mission of the Church, especially for education in the faith. People cannot
meaningfully practice what they do not know. It is for this reason that
students study Religion as part of their Secondary School program. It is not
knowledge that can simply be “picked up”. This is a very demanding study
recognized as such by universities around the world.
Through their studies, young people are
provided with the knowledge, skills, character development and spiritual
formation they will need to be successful in life in light of the teaching and
traditions of the Catholic faith.
Students, staff and parents participate in
outreach to the community. Included in the religious studies program at Francis
Libermann are opportunities to participate in several community activities
including Free the Children Club, 30 Hour Famine, Pennies for Heaven, Christmas
Baskets and Good Sheppard Volunteers.
